You need aluminum cylinder heads I think trickflow makes some for it You need a food good single plane intake and a larger camshaft 350hp would require quite a good head and cam on that small bore the 305 is/was a boat anchor putting out a measly 145hp out of a v8 The only other v8 putting out less was the 307 at 135hp(not counting the 265 or 2)the 350 will destroy the 305!!!Even the worse 350 truck motor will put out more the a 305The 305 was one of chevys worse engines ever!!If you have a chance to get a 350 vs a 305get the 350
